💧 Water Security for C.C. — Richard Shelton's #1 Priority
Meet the Candidate
Corpus Christi native. Real estate investor. Local employer. Community servant. Candidate for City Council At-Large.
His Story
I'm not a politician — I'm a lifelong Texan, born in Fort Worth and proud to have called Corpus Christi home since 2001. With 2½ decades in sales leadership and a current role as a volunteer and real estate investor, I've put my own money and time into making neighborhoods stronger, one property at a time.
Water security is my #1 priority. Corpus Christi cannot grow, attract jobs, or protect families without a reliable, long-term water supply. As a proud sponsor of the Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation (CCREDC), I understand how to balance job-creating growth — from the Port, LNG, AI data centers, and new industry — with a responsible 30-year water security plan.
For years I've volunteered two full days every week at Church Unlimited Westside Mission, helping serve more than 1,000 people weekly with food, clothing, haircuts, hygiene products, showers, and real resources. I also serve every Sunday on the Church Unlimited broadcast team.
Above all, I'm a dad raising a nonverbal autistic son and my adopted niece and nephew. My family is why I'm running: to deliver real results with no excuses on water, jobs, housing, and family services.
"Results Matter. No Excuses. Let's rebuild Corpus Christi together."

The Journey
Richard was born and raised in Fort Worth — a true Texan through and through. His roots gave him the work ethic, faith, and community values he carries into everything he does.
Richard has called Corpus Christi home since 2001. This city is where he built his business, raised his family, and invested his future. He's not a newcomer — he's a neighbor.
With 2½ decades in sales leadership and a current role as a volunteer and real estate investor in the Coastal Bend, Richard has put his own money into making Corpus Christi neighborhoods stronger — one property at a time.
Richard volunteers two full days every week at Church Unlimited Westside Mission, helping serve more than 1,000 people weekly with food, clothing, haircuts, hygiene products, showers, and real resources. He also serves on the broadcast team every Sunday.
Richard is taking his no-excuses, results-driven approach to City Hall. Water security is his #1 priority — paired with a 30-year plan that balances growth from the Port, LNG, and new industry with protecting every family's water supply.
The Mission
Richard Shelton has built his entire career on one principle: results matter. Not excuses, not delays, not finger-pointing. When he takes on a project — whether it's a real estate investment or a city-wide water policy — he sees it through. That's the standard he'll hold himself to on City Council, and the standard he'll demand from every department at City Hall.
